After rebranding, Australian Industry Standards (AIS) is now known as Industry Skills Australia (ISA). The organisation prepares to take on a crucial role in the national training system as one of the new Jobs and Skills Councils. ISA will collaborate with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA), industry partners, and other key stakeholders to address Australia’s workforce planning and skills development challenges.
Who is Industry Skills Australia?
The government has appointed Industry Skills Australia (ISA) to establish the Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) for the transport and logistics sectors. As a council-owned and led by industry, ISA’s mission is to build a world-class supply chain workforce that increases productivity, creates better jobs, and provides opportunities for individuals.
ISA has over 20 years of experience working in the transport and logistics sectors. They leverage this experience to research and analyse data to inform intelligence modelling. They also advocate for a workforce development approach to address industry skills issues and develop priority training package products.
With over 25 years of experience supporting skills development in VET within the transport and logistics industries, ISA has unparalleled workforce planning and skills development expertise. They can help with everything from strategy to implementation of solutions across industries, enterprises, and communities.
ISA handles aviation, rail, maritime, space transport, omnichannel logistics, and transport and logistics industries. This means they have the knowledge and expertise to handle a variety of sectors.
